Our Why?

Our Why:
The world doesn’t need more followers.
It needs real leaders - confident, courageous, and clear on who they are.
That’s where SharpEdge comes in.
We’re not here to sell buzzwords, host feel-good sessions, or tick a box.
We’re here to shape people who lead from the front, who communicate with purpose, and who back themselves when it counts - whether they’re 12 or 52.
We Start Where Others Don’t
Most people are thrown into leadership without a roadmap.
Kids are told to "speak up" but never shown how.
Teams are told to "collaborate" but never taught to trust.
Leaders are told to "step up" but never given real tools.
We fill that gap - with bold coaching, real accountability, and proven systems that drive results in the real world, not just in a training room.
What Drives Us?
We believe:
-
Leadership is a skill, not a job title.
-
Confidence is built, not born.
-
The earlier it starts, the stronger it sticks.
-
The best leaders lift others, not just themselves.
-
You don’t need to be perfect - you need to be real.
Whether we’re mentoring kids who are learning to stand tall, or working with business owners ready to lead different - we bring the same energy, edge, and no-nonsense commitment.
We don’t do fluff.
We don’t do passive learning.
We do growth that sticks, leadership that lasts, and results you can actually see.
Why Join Us?
Because you’re done waiting.
Because something in you (or your kid, or your team) is ready to sharpen up.
Because leadership isn’t just for the loudest voice in the room - it’s for anyone ready to take ownership, raise the bar, and make a difference.
We’re not for everyone - but if this sounds like you?
You’re in the right place.
Let’s sharpen your edge.

Who Am I?
I’ve always believed leadership isn’t about titles or corner offices - it’s about how you show up, how you treat people, and the energy you bring to the room.
I lead through action, not ego.
I don’t do fluff.
And I don’t believe in telling people what to do - I believe in showing them what they’re capable of.
For over a decade, I’ve worked across multiple industries and departments, not just pushing paper or reporting up the chain - but actually getting in the mix, spotting what’s working, what’s not, and helping teams move forward with purpose.
My leadership style?
Inclusive. Direct. No-BS. People-first. Strategic. And fun.
I get to the point, I ask the hard questions, and I keep things real - always. But I also back people, build trust fast, and create space for others to grow without even realising they’re being led.
Most of what I’ve done has been behind the scenes - helping others lead stronger, communicate better, and build confidence where it counts. That’s where I thrive. It’s not about being the loudest in the room - it’s about creating rooms where people feel seen, supported, and sharpened.
That’s why I built SharpEdge.
Because I’ve seen what happens when great people are thrown into leadership with no support.
I’ve watched kids shrink themselves because no one taught them how to own their voice.
I’ve seen adults burn out from trying to lead with empty tanks.
And I’ve seen businesses stall because they’ve focused on processes over people.
SharpEdge is here to flip that.
Whether it’s coaching a kid to find their spark, helping a team build real trust, or training managers to lead with clarity and confidence - I’m in it. Fully.
This isn’t a side project or a coaching buzzword.
This is the work I’ve done my whole life, now done with full intention.
If you want your people to grow - from the inside out -
If you want leadership with heart, backbone, and direction
If you want to sharpen your edge -
You’re in the right place.

Jade Britain
Founder and Director
I’m a Dad, husband, brother, uncle, coach, and mate who genuinely gives a damn. Growing up with a solo mum, I missed having a strong male role model - something I know I needed, and now make sure my boys never miss.
Leadership to me is not just about toughness; it’s about showing emotions are okay, knowing how to love your family well, and handling life’s ups and downs with honesty and grit.
I wasn’t born with fancy boots or a silver spoon - just a pair of cheap rugby boots and a stubborn confidence to let my game, not my gear, do the talking. Being the first-year 9 to play 1st XV rugby at my school taught me early on that respect is earned through action and integrity, not status.
But life wasn’t always smooth - getting expelled at 14 was a wake-up call that I took head-on, turning challenges into opportunities and learning to lead quietly, beside my team, not in front of them.
Playing semi-professional rugby overseas wasn’t just about sport - it showed me I belong anywhere I put my mind to. I learned that leadership means being firm but fair, speaking your mind without ego, and building trust through honesty. This mindset carried me from the field to business, where I quickly found that strong leaders work with all kinds of people - even those they don’t necessarily like - without showing animosity.
In all I do, I focus on being clear, direct, and effective. I believe trust is the foundation of leadership - without it, even the firmest words fall flat. That’s why I match directness with fairness, delivering tough truths in ways that build connection instead of breaking it.
What fills my cup? Seeing people grow. Whether it’s a kid lighting up with confidence or an adult ready to take the next step, that moment of breakthrough is what drives me every day. My family keeps me grounded - my kids remind me that we’re all in this together, imperfect but moving forward, and my wife is the voice that challenges and supports me when I need it most.
If you come from a background like mine, know this - you’re not alone, and sometimes all it takes is a conversation to start moving forward.
I live by a few core truths: trust your gut, keep integrity front and center, and don’t waste time beating around the bush. Life’s too short for endless emails or phone calls when a quick, honest chat will do.
After working with me, I want you to feel empowered, heard, and excited for what’s next. Because leadership isn’t about being perfect - it’s about being real, being brave, and showing up every day ready to sharpen your edge.
